There has been a recent spike in reports of sightings and possible activity by bobcats in Friendswood and Pearland.

Jackie Smith lives in Friendswood's Sun Meadow subdivision. Her cat, Gracie disappeared on August 5.

"We went out at midnight, looking and calling and her. (Her daughter's) big dog lunged at the back gate there and we heard this strange kind of call, twice. It was a screech."
